By placing an order with us you represent and warrant that the payment details you have provided are valid and correct and that if your order is accepted by us that payment will be made in full.
In addition if the Billing Address and the Delivery Address are the same you confirm that you are the person referred to in the Delivery address. Otherwise when placing an order you confirm that you are the person referred to in the Billing Address.
An order will be deemed to have been placed only once the Online Ordering Procedure has been completed. As part of this procedure you will be sent an ‘order acknowledgement’ by e-mail . This e-mail does not constitute either acceptance or confirmation of your order by www.thegildedcage.co.uk
Order acceptance and completion of a contract between you and us will only take place on dispatch of your order at which time confirmation of dispatch will be sent to you by e-mail.
Non acceptance of an order may occur due to:
1) The item you have ordered is out of stock.
2)We are unable to obtain authorisation for your payment.
3) An error in the pricing or description of the product.
4) Failure to meet any of the eligibility criteria as set out in our Terms and
Conditions.
All the products we offer for sale on our website are, to some extent in limited supply and whilst we try to remove any items from our website as soon as they sell out from time to time you may order an item which is out of stock (temporarily or permanently) or for which the price or description has changed in which case we will try to contact you at the e-mail address you have provided to notify you of our inability to fulfil your order and to offer an alternative.
Any substitution suggested will be of the same or greater value than the item we are unable to supply and we will never substitute an item without your express permission.
All prices are in Sterling and include VAT where applicable. Prices may be changed and Online Offers discontinued at any time. The costs of postage packaging, and any other additional charges relating to your order, if applicable , are set out separately
If , for whatever reason, you want to cancel your order please phone 01324 613028 between 9.30 and 5.30 Monday to Saturday. Or return your Order Acknowledgement e-mail (using the reply to sender option) stating your wish to cancel your order.
Please note that it will not always be possible for us to stop an order from being dispatched as we try to process them as fast as possible. If your order has already left us we will still accept return of the item(s) subject to our Returns Policy procedures set out below.
In addition to your Statutory Rights regarding Faulty or incorrectly supplied goods you may return any item bought from us within 14 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange provided they are received by us in the original condition complete with original packaging .
The only exception to this rule is that, for hygiene reasons, we do not accept the return of earrings unless proven faulty when purchased.
In the case of Faulty Goods we will refund the cost of the item(s), any relevant packaging and delivery charges incurred when purchased and all charges incurred by you in returning the faulty item(s) to us
In the case of unwanted goods we do not refund any postage or packaging charges incurred when you placed your order and the cost of returning the item(s) shall be borne by you. ( Please follow the Returns Procedure below)
Once we have received your return(s) and their condition has been verified we will refund the cost to the same card as was used to purchase the item(s) and we will notify you by e-mail when the process is complete.

We will issue you with a Returns Authorisation Reference and a Returns Form
which should be completed and enclosed with the item(s) being returned.

We recommend that you return your parcel either by Registered Post , Recorded Delivery or Royal Mail Special Delivery (or by any other method which requires a signature on delivery) and that you keep the receipt until your return has been approved and processed.
We regret that we cannot accept responsibility for non-delivery of returns or for any damages incurred in transit from you to us.
